Motus Privacy Policy
Last updated: September 15, 2026.
Motus (“the app”) is moving-company software for estimates, invoices, crew billing, truck packing, and scheduling. It is operated by the developer who hosts the site you are using. This policy explains what Motus collects, how Google user data is used, and how you can revoke access.
Information we collect
- Google account identity. When you sign in with Google we receive your name, email address, and profile. We use this to authenticate you and to attach your membership to a company.
- Google Drive and Calendar access. Motus requests permission to create and manage files it creates in Drive (
drive.file) and to manage calendar events (calendar.events). Estimates, invoices, photos, attachments, company settings, and hours sheets are stored in a Motus folder in your company’s Google Drive—not in a shared Drive owned by other customers. Calendar events are written to the signed-in user’s Google Calendar. - Company membership. We store your email, company name, role, and an encrypted Google refresh token for the company owner so staff can share one Drive tree and so public share links can read documents when you are offline.
- Usage on our servers. The hosted app processes Maps lookups (addresses and routes) through our Google Maps key. We do not sell this data.
- Device storage. The browser may keep estimate drafts, preferences, and photos locally (localStorage / IndexedDB) until you sync them.
How we use information
We use this information only to run Motus: sign-in, company onboarding, Drive sync, calendar events, share links, maps, and employee hours. We do not sell personal information. We do not use Google user data for advertising, credit decisions, or any purpose unrelated to the features you invoke.
Google user data and Limited Use
Drive and Calendar data are used solely to provide the Motus features you invoke. We do not share Google user data with third parties except Google (as the API provider) and infrastructure needed to host the app. Owner refresh tokens are encrypted at rest. Human review of Google user data happens only if needed to investigate a security incident, abuse, or to comply with law.
Motus's use of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.
Retention and deletion
Company membership and encrypted owner tokens remain until the owner deletes the company or you are removed. Job files remain in the company’s Google Drive until that company deletes them. Local drafts remain on your device until you clear site data.
You can stop Motus from accessing your Google account at any time in Google Account permissions. After you revoke access, Motus can no longer read or write Drive files or calendar events for that account. Ask your company owner to remove your membership if you should no longer appear as staff.

Questions about this Motus policy: contact the operator of the site you are using (the company that invited you, or the site owner).
